Big light from a compact and powerful flash system.
Take your studio on location with the Elinchrom Ranger Quadra RX Portable Battery Flash
These units are the natural progression for off-camera flash and Speedlite users* that need more power and versatility - a 400 joule Elinchrom Ranger Quadra RX head in about 4 TIMES more powerful than the average Speedlite. So by the time you've bought 2 or 3 camera manufacturers brand hot shoe flashes for 400 quid each and the three or 4 Speedlite adaptor that some companies are selling to benefit from the combined power, you may as well buy into professional quality system flash. The RX models (with an adaptor, available separately) can be controlled by your iPhone using the new Elinchrom app!
Elinchrom Ranger Quadra RX portable battery flash are compatible with the full range of Elinchrom light modifiers including the wonderful Octa 197cm lightbank using the EL Mount Adaptor - I even have a Elinchrom Light Shaper which is getting on for 30 years old which I use with these lights.
If you shoot video, there is also a very powerful daylight LED modelling light which serves as an effective light when shooting moving images.
* They also look the business. Some clients, commercial or otherwise will make judgements as soon as they see your kit. I have one or two where I know that if I turn up for a job with Speedlites (which incidentally they also own) they will not take any images I create seriously. So in some spheres what you've got, as opposed to what you can do with it does count;-)
